Our main service is dr5 FILM or dr5 CHROME. Itis a Service that uses the "dr5 process" to produce B&W slides or B&W transparency. The "dr5 process" has been offered publicly to photographers since 1997, but has been creating images since its inception in 1991. dr5 is a procedure that processes most ALL B&W-negative films as B&W-slides, or transparencies. We are also the highest quality lab for the remaining SCALA film and the new ADOX-SCALA160. We are the only B&W slide service outside of Germany.
We are a Quality 1st art service. What does this mean? This means Quality of the process line supersedes turn-time, though we do our best to be prompt. These same quality rules apply to our other service offerings.
dr5 PROCESSING: The dr5 process is a custom designed from scratch reversal B&W process for almost all existing B&W films, including the remaining SCALA film and the new ADOX-SCALA160. No other lab know's reversal B&W processing better than us. dr5 is more than just a process, it is a 'shooting system', capable of in camera control. dr5 is designed
to give the photographer the largest amount of exposure variables, in essence,
giving the ability to put a B&W custom darkroom inside your
camera. The photographer has the freedom to change the contrast, speed
& tonal range at will, per roll, simply by either changing the ISO or selecting a particular film. The process produces image quality 4~5 times its negative processed counterpart and making B&W as easy to scan as E6. We run 35mm - 11x14 size film is processed. Nothing is like dr5. SCANNING: Scanning on all levels, from drum, high-end flat, to roll scans. Roll-scans from 16mm ~ 6x9 formats; 6~55mgb. Drum-scans to 3-gigs.
FILM RECORDING - LVT / CRT: Film recording - Digital to film services adds a very unique spin to our services, services you will find no where else; LVT to B&W, CRT - B&W & E6. We produce B&W negatives, B&W-slides, Interpositive's & B&W+E6 slides in 6x7 & 35mm formats.
