SERVICE REQUIREMENTS

IMPORTANT CHANGES COMING TO OUR SERVICE STRUCTURE - STAY TUNED.
HERE AT the lab we require a few 'ground-rules' to be set. We do this simply to make our job easier to accomplish and for you to understand what is happening when your film comes here.

1) We require a write-up for ALL orders coming into the lab. There is no exception to this rule.
For those that need this explained: The order write-up is a service contract. It basically says you are allowing us to process 'your film'. ALL areas of the write-up that you need and we need, are to be filled out or checked. To leave something 'undone' on the write-up will only delay your order.. If you have limited knowledge of professional services, the basics are as follows:
YOU MUST CHECK Tier A or B Service.
IF YOU have 35mm film: mark SLEEVED or MOUNTED
IF YOU want scans: mark that you want scans / 'PROOF-SCANS' for 120 film [no roll scans for 120]
THE SHOT ISO [VERY IMPORTANT] "Write it on the ROLL" - not the plastic container!
YOUR SHIP address.
YOUR PAYMENT info [orders WILL NOT run without]
YOUR CONTACT info [VERY IMPORTANT]

2)DO NOT send us orders with just a note unless you have cleared it with us 1st. Such orders will be returned.

3)DO NOT send orders in a regular envelope! This is a recipe for disaster. ALWAYS send film in a small box.

4)WE HAVE a consolidated operation. This means everything has been trimmed to cut costs. We do our utmost to be available and help on a one-on-one basis. Most of the time we can, some of the time we can't. Sometime email is the best bet.

5)IT'S NOT ALWAYS BUSINESS: If you know some of our other clients, you know this to be true.
This is a PRIVATE-LAB not a COMMERCIAL-LAB. We treat ALL film as if it were our own. At this lab, working as a team is the way it works best. The more involved you are the better the output. We will feel as bad as you if the shots don't come out.

6)TURN TIME IS NOT PREDICTABLE FOR TIER 'B' SERVICE: TIER 'B' is run based on volume-runs. To those who don't understand this concept: Simply, we did this to save your pocket-book. This does not mean we have less film to run, it just means we changed the way we gang up orders. In today's "HIGH PRICED" cost of keeping a photo-lab open, we had a choice; RAISE RATES or CHANGE THE WAY WE RUN FILM. Most of our clients understand this concept. For those who need their film in a rush there is TIER 'A' SERVICES. We'd be happy to run it ASAP.

7)REMINDER; If you did not ask for rush-service, please DO NOT get upset with us about the turn-time. Turn-time WILL VARY from order to order. The reasons will include: THE STAEMENT ABOVE, QUALITY CONTROL [our no.1 priority], OUR CUSTOMIZED EQUIPTMENT REPAIRS.

8)IF YOU are a 1st time dr5 user, DO NOT send us old film to process[ except SCALA FILM ] ! This just makes us look bad and makes you unhappy.
OLD SCALA: Yes, old SCALA will 'sometimes' look bad, but you already know this.
ONCE YOU have established, it's OK to use outdated film as long as you know what to expect.
1st-time users should also stick to 'normal' iso's. Please see the FILMREVIEW for those.
